In the school year of 2013-14, I formed a quartet named The Thursday Lunch Combo. It consisted of flute (me), piano, (Emil Ernstrom), string bass (Caleb Yang) and drums (Fabian Garduno). We practiced during lunch on Thursdays (surprise!) and performed at school concerts. Last season, we played Claude Bolling's Baroque and Blue, the first movement to his Suite for Flute and Piano Trio. We also played an arrangement that I made of "Let It Go," from the hit Disney movie Frozen. For our last concert, we performed the last movement of Bolling's Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio No. 2, titled Jazzy.
